AlumniFinder’s success starts with our talented team of people! Each month we will highlight someone from our company to show you the team behind AlumniFinder. In our latest TeammateFinder, we speak to Sean Kellum, our Vice President of Sales.

What is your role at AlumniFinder?
I am Vice President of Sales.

What charitable foundation(s) do you support?
One of my favorite local Nonprofits is The Community Cooperative Ministries. It has a goal of working to alleviate hunger and homelessness. Nobody should go to bed hungry. More importantly, CCMI does a great job of transforming people’s lives when they are down. Rather than just giving them a handout, they raise them up with education and social service programs.

What are 3 words to describe AlumniFinder?
Challenging, Teamwork, Change. The marketing world is never static. It is ever changing and never dull. AlumniFinder affords us the opportunity to collaborate as a team and create great solutions.

What do you most enjoy about your role?
New Challenges: I enjoy the opportunity to get involved with complex projects. By working with 4 sales team members, I am fortunate to get involved in more projects than my personal book of business. I really enjoy a complex new creative challenge.

What are some of your hobbies?
My hobbies are fishing, running/triathlons and recently golf. I have been a boater/fisherman all my life. One of the things that I enjoy most about it is that my entire family can participate together. It is relaxing. I took up long distance running and triathlons about 6 years ago. It is addictive and ever challenging. After running several half marathons and triathlons, I completed a full marathon 3 years ago. Now, I am looking for the next triathlon challenge. My son got passionate about golf last summer, so it became a new hobby for me too. While my game needs a lot of work, I am enjoying the time we spend together and learning the game.

What is the last show you binge-watched?
I recently watched several seasons of The West Wing on Netflix. It was a favorite show of mine when it first began airing back in 1999. The writing is amazing and the topics on the show are ironically still relevant today.

And finally, what are you looking forward to in the next year?
A New Year is always fun. It gives you a moment to hit the reset button both personally and professionally. You are forced to turn the page and look forward. We have a brand-new calendar with new seasons ahead of us. Each one is new different than the last. With the cooler air right now, running is more energizing. Professionally, AlumniFinder is expanding our product offering more broadly in the Nonprofit space. We can really help Nonprofit clients clean up their databases which is a win-win.
